- why we use them;
- which cookies we use; and
- how you can manage cookies used on our Website and App.
What are cookies?
Cookies do lots of different jobs on the Website and on the App. We want you to understand the different types of cookies that we use on the Website and on the App.
Generally, the cookies used on our Website and on the App perform up to four different functions:
1. Strictly necessary cookies
These are cookies which are strictly necessary for the Website and the App to function and cannot be switched off in our systems.
We use a number of these 'strictly necessary' cookies. For example, they are usually only set in response to actions made by you, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in or filling in forms. They also help ensure the contents of pages you request load quickly and remember which Mulberry products you have put into your "Shopping Bag". Without these cookies, some of the services that you have asked for cannot be provided.
We want you to understand these types of cookies, and why we use them, but we don't need to get your consent to use them on the Website or the App, because we use these cookies only to provide you with services that you have requested. You can set your browser to block or alert you about these cookies, but some parts of the Website or the App will not then work. These cookies do not store any personally identifiable information.
2. Performance cookies
These cookies collect anonymous information about the pages you visit and allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of our Website and App.
We use these cookies to collect information about how visitors use the Website and the App. For example, they help us to know which pages are the most and least popular, if there are error messages on those pages and see how visitors move around the Website or the App.
If you do not allow these cookies we will not know when you have visited our Website or App, and will not be able to monitor performance.
3. Functionality cookies
These cookies remember your choices to improve your experience of the Website and the App.
We use these cookies to enable the Website and the App to remember choices you make and to provide enhanced functionality and personalisation; for example, remembering your username, your language, the region you are in, and changes you make to various other parts of the Website or the App which you can customise. The aim of these cookies is to provide you with a more personal experience so that you don't have to reset your preferences each time you visit us.
These cookies may be set by us or by third party providers whose services we have added to our pages. If you do not allow these cookies then some or all of these services may not function properly.
4. Targeting, advertising and third party cookies and similar technologies
We allow third party cookies and web beacons and similar technologies to be set through our Website and App by our advertising partners, to track your browsing habits on our Website and App (and also elsewhere on the internet and other apps) to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant adverts on other sites which we hope are relevant to your interests. For example, if you viewed pages on our Website or App relating to a particular product, you may be later be shown one of our advertisements relating to these or similar products when you are viewing pages on another website (including on social media sites) or app. These types of cookies, web beacons and similar technologies and the information they collect are also used to limit the number of times you see these advertisements, as well as to help measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns and to provide other measurement services.
We also allow third party cookies, placed by our affiliate network partner(s), to record information about third party links or adverts that you may have clicked on directly before browsing on our Website and then making a purchase. They do not store directly personal information but are based on uniquely identifying your browser and internet device. If you do not allow these cookies, you will experience less targeted advertising.
Which cookies do we use?
The table below explains what cookies we use on the Website and the App, and the reasons why we use them:
A ‘persistent’ cookie. This cookie keeps track of the number of times a visitor has been to the site pertaining to the cookie, when their first visit was, and when their last visit occurred.
__utmb and __utmc
These cookies work together to calculate how long a visit takes. __utmb takes a timestamp of the exact moment in time when a visitor enters a site, while __utmc takes a timestamp of the exact moment in time when a visitor leaves a site.
The __utmv cookie gets set on the your computer, so that Google Analytics knows how to classify that visitor. The __utmv cookie is a persistent, lifetime cookie.
__utmz keeps track of where the visitor came from, what search engine was used, what link was clicked on, what keyword you used, and where they were in the world the website was accessed.

How can you manage cookies on our website?
Cookies do lots of important jobs on the Website and on the App. However, you are able to disable cookies used on the Website and on the App, if you would like to. If you do so, you may find that certain parts of the Website or the App do not work at all, or do not work correctly.
You can disable and/or delete all types of cookies by using your browser settings. Cookies are generally easy to disable and/or delete but how you do so varies from browser to browser. The "help" function within your browser should tell you how to do it. The best way may be to close your browser and then search for "cookie folder" or "cookie manager" or simply "cookie". Further information on deleting or controlling cookies is also available on www.allaboutcookies.org and www.aboutads.info/choices.
From time to time, we may make changes to this cookies policy. If we decide to do so, we will post the changes on our Website and on our App, so that you are always aware of what cookies we use and how we use them. If we need to, we will e-mail you with details of those changes and/or ask you to confirm that you are happy with them.
