The Spring Summer 2014 Story

Posted in Insider

The setting for our Spring Summer 2014 campaign is a great English country house, magnificent in its rolling parkland,
a tad faded in its grandeur and home to an unlikely event:
a charming English tea party hosted by English Rose
Cara Delevingne, with a Mulberry twist…

Shotover House was built during the eighteenth century and stands in grounds scattered with follies and vistas in Oxfordshire. As with many grand country houses, great pride was taken to create beautiful parkland, first by James Tyrrell, an Oxford scholar and historian who inherited the estate in 1701, and then by his son, who continued the development of the gardens, employing William Kent around 1730 to design two buildings for the west gardens within a wilderness setting.

Inside, set designer Rhea Thierstein created a beautiful English tea party setting with picturesque spring roses, vintage crockery and enticing treats. Tim Walker captured Cara with some unexpected guests including a Parson’s Jack Russell, a Patterdale Terrier and a Harlequin Great Dane, a pelican, two cockatoos (Spud and Archie) Pukka the tortoise and a little white (and very greedy) pony called Dusty.

Our new Spring Summer 2014 arrivals are shown off to their very best, with serene new neutrals, bold brights and stripes and stunning new leathers all part of the collection.
